West Launceston, Australia - A new tastemaker has just stamped her name on the Australian style landscape. Rebecca Osborne, the director of the eponymous boutique interior design and styling firm Osborne & Co., based in Brisbane, has led an exciting interior design project between Brisbane and Tasmania, featuring the captivating artwork of self-taught artist, John Wren, who is also the client.
 
Wren's works range from abstract and impressionism to loose realism, as he actively explores different painting styles to translate the visions racing through his mind. His art is well-travelled, gracing the homes and collections of astute collectors across Australia and beyond.
 
Osborne was entrusted with the task of designing a unique living space for John and Catherine Wren, drawing inspiration from the Art Deco style of the property ‘'Belvoir’, infused with a touch of Mid-Century design and a splash of Beetlejuice. The end result is a captivating and personalised living area where each room is adorned with a single bold colour, creating an intimate and inviting atmosphere. The design features a layering of different textures and materials, punctuated with bursts of vibrant hues that complement the remarkable works of art by John Wren, which serve as the focal point of the overall design. "We were given the freedom to unleash our creativity and produce a truly distinctive and bespoke home for our clients," Osborne explains.
 
Osborne's vision and leadership were instrumental in bringing this project to fruition, showcasing her unique and inspired design aesthetic. She works closely with artists and designers, and has a vast knowledge-bank of design styles and resources at her disposal. It's this personal touch that keeps her interiors fresh and unique. She'll also scour a flea market or antiques store for the right touches.
 
The designers at Osborne & Co. worked tirelessly to create a boutique hotel art series-style gallery home, where the clients can entertain friends and industry, and bask in the unique and captivating atmosphere. The team's meticulous attention to detail has produced a space that is both impressive and comfortable, elevating the clients' lifestyle and enjoyment.
